Hong Kong personalities pick out their favourite hidden gems...

Lindsay Jang, owner of Yardbird, picks:

My hidden gem is called 10/10 Space. You normally can't find most of the products in HK stores. A lot of the items are imported from France, the UK and the US and focus mostly on natural and organic ingredients. They also house a spa and nail salon that uses high quality products.

Unit B, 1/F, Fairview Mansion, No 51, Paterson St, Causeway Bay, 3595 1152; 1010space.com.hk.

Alex Daye and Ellis Kreuger of bespoke boutique Moustache pick:

Woo Ping Optical in North Point. We're both crazy for it. We love to recommend them in our guidebook. They've got a great selection of really inexpensive dead stock eyeglasses frames, mostly from Japan, and the couple who run it are super lovely. The thing I love about it the most though is the super cool store sign.

278 King's Rd, North Point; 2571 7810.

Grace Chan, designer of Glush, picks:

Basheer is one of my personal favourite hang out spots in Causeway Bay when you are waiting for a friend. It is a hidden heaven for designers in various creative fields. Even if you're not looking for any books in particular, they have a good selection of magazines as well.

1/F, Flat A, Island Bldg, 439-441, Hennessy Rd, Causeway Bay, 2126 7533; basheer.com.hk.

Veronica Li of online fashion blog, Vnikali.com, picks:

La Deux's unique venue displays their design pieces as well as tasteful art pieces. Whenever I go there, I get inspired by their visual merchandise and discover new interesting designs, decorative items, furniture and lighting. It's a cosy venue that you can explore for beautifully designed items.
