The fifth of a series of hedonistic junk parties, Ship of Fools is taking 180 people on an all-day party around Sai Kung on three different boats. If you like it hardcore, this is for you. The party has wakeboarding, an open bar, lifeguards and games (including age-old classic, baby oil Twister). The largest boat even has slides, a disco room, karaoke and a full kitchen. Want more? Live band The Insiders are playing, plus DJs Kat, Anand and Matt ManOne Rudge. Want more still? How about 800 litres of beer and 100 litres of spirits? It's on. This party kicks off with transport at 9.30am so you get a good bang for your buck.

The pilgrimage to Macau for the finest rock 'n' roll poolside madness begins in June. The Hard Rock has confirmed three pool parties for its highly anticipated summer Splash series. Spanish DJ Danny Avila (protégé of Tiësto and Freddy le Grande) is confirmed for the first party and if the line up from last year is an indicator for this year, then we can guarantee quality beats. The party begins at 4pm, so you can get going early and then watch the sunset from the guitar-shaped pool. Designer Adam Pollina, who has worked for both DC and Marvel comics, is creating the venue's themed décor, so expect a unique and interesting backdrop. Tickets: $500; cityofdreamsmacau.com.

Wet Summer Series

The summer series of pool parties at W Hotel's iconic Wet Deck returns with a series of five big events between May and September. The first party already kicked off with international DJ Scarlett Etienne spinning dance and electronic tunes alongside resident hotel spinners like DJ Angus Wong. The Wet Deck is on the 76th floor of the W, so enjoy the stunning scenic view across the harbour as the sun begins to set. Once it gets to midnight you may want to dry out, but the party certianly won't, as it moves into the hotel's Woobar for some continued late night mischief and excitement.
